KMS has been a pen-pal school to Priory since, September 2000. During the past five years,
Sue Adcock, Nancy Steh, Peggy Miles, and Scott McKenzie have
each had a pen-pal class.
This year Mr. McKenzie's AVID 6th, 7th and 8th grade classes along
with Mrs. Gilman's 8th grade English classes are continuing the project.
Our project is expanding even more as technology improves. Learning about Global Economy through the aid of 21st century skills will help prepare our students for their future.
Visit the KMS Wiki to learn more about the communications project.
A delegation of KMS teachers will be going to Northern Ireland In April, 2008.
Come along with them virtually by following their journey
at their blog, "What Color is your iPod®?"
Join Dr. Smith, Mr. McKenzie, Ms. Gilman and Ms. Caviness on
their great adventure starting April 6, 2008.
It all began on March 6th, 2001, Virginia Beach City Council signed a Resolution making North Down County (Bangor), Northern Ireland, the City of Virginia Beach's Sister City. We send our greetings to all our friends in North Down with whom we have so much in common and know we will reap many dividends from our mutual "Sister City" relationship.
