Instrument repair: Even with the best care, some instruments will require maintenance at some point. The director must inspect any instrument in need of repair before sending it to the shop. Most repairs can be completed in one or two days. When an instrument is taken to a local repair shop, the director should receive a written note from the parent/guardian. Students who do not have an instrument in class and do not have proof of repair will lose participation points for that day and will be assigned other work to do.
