Kempsville Middle School Band Parent Association

Dear KMS Band Parents,

Many exciting band activities are planned for the 2008-09 school year. We look forward to supporting the performances of Pep Band, Beginning, Intermediate and Concert Bands, Band Festival, Jazz Band, Pans of Steel and Solo and Ensemble.

Our Director of Bands, Mrs. Lisa Jackson, is described as “awesome” by her students with good reason. She is a dedicated and inspirational educator and musician. As the year progresses, you will notice a remarkable elevation of the performance level of the bands under her direction.

The band program, with its many extra-curricular events, needs strong parental support. Many tasks, large and small, are necessary during the course of the year. Volunteering your time will directly benefit your music student. Our collective efforts will ensure a successful band program
