What? NO!  What are you waiting for?  Do it tonight!  For every yearbook order placed between now and December 31st , you have the chance to win a free itag, book cover, autograph pages, name stamping or even get your yearbook FREE!  That’s right!  So go home, find an adult with money, connect to the KMS website and order your yearbook TODAY.

SCA:  Do you think outside the box?  Your KMS SCA does!  Purchase a sweatshirt with this year’s SCA motto:  “Thinking outside the box”.  You can preview the sweatshirt design outside the cafeteria and the library.  Sweatshirts are $24.95.  Order your sweatshirt today through Mrs. Sutterluety in room 104 or Mr. McKenzie in room 102.  Sweatshirts will be on sale through November 25th.

SCA:  WAVY TV 10 and Albano Cleaners are collecting Coats for Kids.  Last year, the program collected over 20,000 coats for needy children in Hampton Roads.  Be a part of something meaningful and donate your old coats today!  Coats can be dropped off in Mr. McKenzie’s room, 102, anytime between now and December 18th.

Academic and Advanced Academic Programs:  8th grade students are you interested in becoming a doctor, lawyer, actor, or computer programmer?  Do you have an ear for foreign languages or an interest in global cultures?  If so, don’t miss an exciting opportunity to learn about the school division’s theme-based academy and advanced academic programs.  Virginia Beach Schools’ Parent Connection invites you and your parents to attend a workshop on Saturday, November 21st from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, located at 874 Baker Road.  Find out what each academy and advanced academic program has to offer and get important information about the application process.

Ecology Club:  The CapriSun collection is going well.  The grade level that collects the most pouches will get to listen to music during lunch the week prior to winter break.  It’s not too late to join the Ecology Club.  Our next meeting is Wednesday, December 4th after school.  We will be creating holiday gifts and decorations from re-cycled items.  Get an application from Mrs. Masisak and join the fun.
