Technology Fair 2005-2006

The Technology Fair was a great chance for you to see what we have available right now at Kempsville Middle School! From hardware to software; to quick tips and tricks; we hope you learned something you didn't know before.

Online Learning Opportunities

Star Board
Interactive drawing board that can be used with your classes in Lab 146. Allows you to write with a stylus pen just like a tablet PC.

Using Camcorders
KMS has two camcorders that can be checked out for field trips, class projects and special events. Learn how to use these digital wonders to create your own class movies.

Using Destiny from your Classroom Computer
Did you know that you can now reserve and hold your own books and videos from the KMS library, right from the comfort of your own classroom computer?  Come learn how to use Destiny to create a specialized list of materials to enhance your teaching. Burning CD’s
Migration is coming – time to backup your files to a CD. Learn how to burn files to a CD-R or CD-RW and find out what the difference between them is. You will be give a CD to burn your files right there on the spot. YOU MUST BE LOGGED OFF IN YOUR ROOM to be able to access your home directory in the library!

Movie Maker 11
You have used the Camcorder, now how to you download your movie to the computer so you can save it digitally?
