INNOVATION

Congratulations to the KMS STEM Robotics Team for their impressive showing at the 2014 STEM Robotics Competition. For six months, 27 dedicated students quietly worked after school to design, build and test 10 competition robots, making up five KMS teams. Four out of the five teams qualified for the semi-finals, and one of those four teams made it all the way to the championship match against Princess Anne High School. After an intense championship match, KMS fell just short of becoming the overall champions, finishing 2nd out of 136 teams made up of over 500 students. This is a monumental achievement as this is the first time in competition history that a middle school was able to compete for the overall championship. Special thanks to Mr. McKay for all his hard work and dedication to the Robotics Club. A huge thank you to Mr. Tunney for his dedication and commitment towards excellence! You are the best!!
