If you do, come to the NJHS Skinny Dip night at the Skinny Dip in Fairfield Shopping Center on Tuesday, November 1st from 6-8pm! Candy Grams - Trick or Treat! NJHS is selling something sweet! Get your trick or treat candy grams this week! We will be selling Skittles or Sour Patch Kids for only $1.00 during all lunches!
PTA Halloween Dance - Are you coming to the Halloween costume dance on Friday, October 28? Today is the last day to buy tickets. Tickets are $5 and will be sold during lunches. There will be a Halloween costume contest with a prize for each grade level winner. Hope to see you at the dance with your Halloween spirit.

Wrestling Intramurals will begin on Tuesday, November 1st in the Mat Room. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays directly after school and will run until the middle of January. Students interested in participating must have a Middle School League physical on file. See Mr. Brown in Room 119 with any wrestling questions and Mrs. Makowski in the Student Activities Office with any questions about physicals. Boys and Girls are welcome to participate

Family Movie Night - Great News, KMS! We will be having our annual Family Movie Night on November 10. The movie will be Jungle Book. Flyers should be returned by November 4! We will have drinks and popcorn for everyone in the family who attends. You MUST come with a parent and you MUST pre-register to attend. We hope to see you there!
Dodgeball - Kempsville Middle will be hosting their annual dodgeball tournament on Wednesday, November 9 after school. Are you interested in participating? If so, find 8 people, select a team captain, and a create a team name. Entry into the tournament is $5 per participant. Then, captains must stop by Mrs. Makowksi's office to pick up a registration packet. All forms and money are due back to Mrs. Makowski by Wednesday, November 2.
All PTA Reflections Contest entries are due this Friday, October 28. Turn them in at the library
The KMS PTA Book Fair is open from 9-4 every day this week and Monday, October 31. We will also have extended hours on Friday – we are open until the dance begins!
Winter I Sports - Are you interested in trying out for the KMS basketball teams or the Academic challenge team? Then stop by the student activities office today to pick up an informational flyer. Tryouts will begin on Monday, Nov. 14th after school. Anyone trying out for basketball will be required to have a MSL physical on file in the student activities office prior to tryouts
Braves Football - In a middle school football game featuring 7 lead changes, the Kempsville Braves had the lead when it mattered most in a 34 to 32 victory over Bayside. Gunner W. ran for 4 touchdowns and Cole N. had several key runs behind a strong effort by the offensive line including center Bradley Z., guards Mason T. and Jhimere H., tackles Dylan E. and Ethan L. and tight end Thomas N. as well as fullback Connor G.. Caleb R. threw a touchdown pass to Kylen E. and 2 two point conversion passes to John M. The defense had keys plays on an interception by Ian A. and a fumble caused by Demetrious J. and recovered by K.J. J. The Braves remain in second place with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss and host Corporate Landing this Tuesday at Kempsville High School. Come out and support your team. "
